1. A symbol of small wrench will be displayed in the lower left corner of the LCD. When the small wrench is depressed, the MACHINE STATUS screen will
appear with the following message:
THE FOLLOWING COMPONENT(S) IS/ARE NOT AVAILABLE.

2. Pressing the OK key will return display back to normal mode.
3. Machine will function normally with paper tray 2 and 3.
SOLUTION: Remove the wedged paper from behind the upper paper tray and at the rear of the main body.
Notes:
1. The service failure indication (wrench symbol) must be reset to allow the upper tray to be recognized.
2. To reset the wrench symbol, perform the following:
a. Power OFF the machine.
b. Remove the small cover located under the left side of the operation panel. This cover is approximately 4 inches wide and secured with one screw.
c. There are 2 small switches located under the operation panel.
d. Press in and hold the longer of the 2 switches (S25) while powering machine back ON and continue holding S25 until the operation display appears.
e. Close the front and confirm that the wrench symbol has cleared.
f. If the wrench symbol has not cleared, repeat step d and hold down S25 a few seconds longer.

CAUSE: Scanning larger than 5.5x8.5 is only available with 160MB of RAM.
SOLUTION: Install the 160 MB Upgrade Kit (PCUA 950603) in the X2E controller.
Note: The 160MB upgrade option for the X2E consists of a software update and a 128MB DIMM. One of the existing 32MB DIMMs is removed and then
replaced with the 128MB DIMM.

How to enable the Copy Track Functions (ECM).
Solution
This function is intended for the person who controls and manages the copier. The numbers of copies made by up to 100 different accounts can be controlled
by defining a unique access number for each account.
Setting the Copy Track Functions:
1. Press the [Utility Key] and touch [Admin. Mode].
2. Enter your [Administrator Code Number] from the key pad, then touch [OK].
Notes:
a. Consult your service representative to set or change the administrator code number.
b. Be sure to remember your administrator code number.
3. Touch [Copy Track Functions].
4. Touch [ON] or [OFF] to activate or deactivate the Copy Track Functions. If ON is selected, program an access number for each account. If OFF is
selected, touch [YES] to reset the Copy Track Functions data.
5. Touch [OK].
